Robert N. Moss Senior Environmental and Permits Engineer
Robert N Moss – since 2007 has been Senior Environmental & Permits Engineer for DRKW Advanced Fuels. Mr. Moss has over 38 years experience in environmental and permitting for energy facilities in 18-states, 2-U.S. Territories, and 22- countries. His Greenfield project permitting experience includes over 42 projects: 8000 MWs of power plants (diesel, turbine, boiler, hydro, coal & pet coke), 1600 miles of gas pipelines including compression, gas processing, liquid pipeline /separation / fractionation, a chemical plant and 35,000-bpd refinery.
He graduated from Iowa State University in 1971 with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering.
From 1971 to 1979 Mr. Moss was Air Pollution Engineer for the City of Des Moines/Polk County, Iowa responsible for permit review, source inspection and air monitoring.
From 1979 to 1987 Mr. Moss was responsible the environmental permitting of Inter North Inc. (FERC and Non-FERC) pipelines, gas processing plants and a BOP chemical plant.
In 1986 HNG-Inter North became Enron and in 1987 Mr. Moss joined Enron Cogeneration (which became Enron Engineering and Construction Company) where he was responsible for the environmental permitting of power plants, pipelines, gas processing plants and a small refinery.
From 2001 to 2002 Mr. Moss worked for Stone & Webster Management Consultants where he was responsible for due diligence relating to energy facility purchases and financing of energy projects in the U.S. and internationally including power plants, pipelines and gas processing facilities.
From 2002 to 2007 Mr. Moss was Manager of Environmental and Safety for Globeleq during their acquisition of 3000 MW of power plants and a gas processing facility in Asia, Africa and the Americas.
